GENSAC at the ATT CSP7

Join us for a discussion on the sidelines of the Seventh Conference of States Parties to the ATT (CSP7). We will discuss the role of women in stockpile management and the obstacles women practitioners face in the field. The session will convene researchers, advocates and practitioners who work to promote gender equality in SAWL control to discuss the under-representation of women in stockpile management and propose solutions that could help increase the meaningful participation of women in the field of weapon and ammunition management (WAM). During this session, experts will also present some of their most recent research on gender and WAM and what their findings entails for the ATT membership. They will also discuss the challenges as well as good practices to advance gender equality in WAM.
