Bridging Gaps in the UN PoA: Strengthening Gender-Responsive Approaches
This GENSAC working paper, co-sponsored by the Small Arms Survey, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Norway, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, and prepared for BMS9 of the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons, examines recent progress in gender-responsive SALW control and identifies priorities for future implementation. It highlights advances in policy and practice, explores the implications of emerging technologies for small arms control, and offers recommendations to strengthen gender-responsive national implementation and international cooperation.
